For a while now, people close to the couponing community have been getting their free groceries coupons for Kellogs and buying different Special K breakfast cereal boxes for their diet plans courtesy of this great company.I've looked at the cereal boxes which boast the ability to lose 6 pounds in two weeks, and I've gotta' say it looks like a diet I can get into. Studies apparently show people are dropping about an average of 4 pounds every two weeks; that also sounds like a safe amount of weight to lose and you've probably heard that if you lose more than 2 lbs. a week you have a tendency to gain those pounds back quicker than if you lose it at a slow pace like 1-2 lbs. a week.
Here's the diet plan in a nutshell:
Use your free coupons for Kellogs if you can, and grab three to four 18 ounce boxes of Special K cereals, some fat-free milk, some protein bars, snacks, and crackers. While you're at it, grab some fresh fruit to last you through the week; bananas, strawberries, kiwi, peaches, etc. Make sure you don't eat the canned kind of fruits as they contain far too much sugar.
Now, during your morning meal, pour yourself a bowl of cereal with fruit instead of sugar, and repeat the same drill for lunch. If you get hungry or if you really want to boost your metabolism, eat a snack in between each meal; this will also keep your hunger to a minimum.
Next, at dinner time, eat what you normally do as long as it's at least somewhat healthy. This means you should not eat that delicious fettuccine Alfredo with the 5 garlic cheese breads, or you'll ruin all the dieting you've done for the day!
As a footnote, you know you should always consult a physician before starting any diet or exercise program to be on the safe side. The diet works very well in studies so there's no reason not to try this cheap diet. I think I'll get my coupons for Kellogs right now, go buy my stuff, and start this diet tomorrow!
